Deep Dive Dubai Features A Sunken City, Underwater Habitats, Underwater Studio & More

Deep Dive Dubai is situated in Nad Al Sheba and measures 60.02 meters in length. The pool can hold 14 million liters of water, which is equal to six Olympic-sized swimming pools. Apart from being a new facility itself, there’s yet another remarkable feature the pool boasts. The pool highlights a sunken city, complete with an abandoned streetscape, apartment, garage, arcade, and other exciting features. Well, deep divers are sure to have the time of their life, exploring the underwater world.

The pool spans 1,500-square-metre and is constructed to look like a colossal oyster. Besides, the pool also has two underwater localities, 56 underwater cameras covering all angles of the pool, and underwater sound and mood lighting modules. The pool pumps clean water, and the used water is filtered and circulated every six hours. The temperature is maintained at 30°C. And, lastly, the collection also features a dive shop, a gift shop, and a variety of meeting and event spaces.

In addition, a restaurant that seats a capacity of 80 people and a hyperbaric chamber (used to treat decompression sickness and other conditions) is expected to launch before the end of the year. The venue will also be home to an underwater film studio, complete with a media editing room and a video wall. Fans-eh!

The pool is currently welcoming by invitation only, and public bookings will be possible by the end of July. The pool offers freediving, scuba diving experiences, and courses to people of all abilities by international diving professionals. Deep Dive Dubai will then offer experiences and courses across three categories: Discover, Dive and Develop. The courses are open to anyone aged ten and above, from beginners to professional divers.

All participants will have a guide and must rent the equipment required. Underwater gear and photo and video equipment will be ready for rent, with videos and pictures included with Discovery Dives.
