Samsung Teams Up with Amsterdam’s Iconic Museum to Offer Smart Audio Tours and Art-Inspired Accessories
Samsung is redefining the museum experience by transforming the Galaxy S25+ into a high-tech tour guide at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. Through a newly announced three-year partnership, Samsung and the museum aim to enhance visitor engagement using smart technology and personalized features.
S25+ Powers a New Audio Tour Experience
Launched in June 2025, the Van Gogh Museum’s latest audio tour replaces outdated guide devices with 1,600 Galaxy S25+ smartphones.
- These smartphones now serve as digital tour companions, offering visitors in-depth stories and insights into Van Gogh’s masterpieces.
- The updated system delivers a lighter, more accessible interface and improved performance over older hardware, making for a smoother experience.

Home to the World’s Largest Van Gogh Collection
The Van Gogh Museum houses the world’s largest collection of works by the iconic Dutch painter, including:
- Over 200 paintings
- Approximately 500 drawings
- More than 700 letters
In 2023 and 2024, the museum drew between 1.7 and 1.9 million visitors, highlighting its global appeal.
Future Plans with Galaxy AI
Samsung has hinted at plans to integrate Galaxy AI features into the tour experience, potentially offering personalized content and smarter interactivity for visitors.
- Details are yet to be revealed, but this could mark a new chapter in digital museum innovation.
Van Gogh-Themed Galaxy Accessories Incoming
In addition to the tour tech, Samsung will also launch a line of Van Gogh museum-branded smartphone cases.
- These will feature designs inspired by iconic artworks like Sunflowers and Van Gogh’s self-portrait.
- The accessories will be sold via Samsung stores and online platforms in the Netherlands, as well as through the Van Gogh Museum’s official store.
With this collaboration, Samsung not only strengthens its cultural footprint but also showcases the Galaxy S25+ as a multifunctional device that goes beyond everyday use—merging art, technology, and innovation in one unforgettable experience.
