When All At Once, I Saw… A Host Of ‘Pink Lotuses’
The Gulawat Lotus Valley can be a true treat to the eyes of every nature lover. With recreational activities like boating and cycling, the lotus valley promises a surreal experience for visitors. Deep inside the valley, lies a dense bamboo forest too which is home to a stunning serenity. The place makes an ideal picnic spot during the winter months and thus attracts a good number of locals. The place has also become popular for photography and pre-wedding shoots.

Taking The Offbeat Road To The Lake
The park is around 40 kilometres away from Indore. While the first 30 kilometres can be a smooth ride, the last 10 kilometres is off the road and bumpy. Thus, the trip can be quite adventurous. The lake remains open from 6 AM to 7 AM. It is advisable to return back from the spot before it’s too dark as it is isolated and lies far from the residential zones. There are very few food and beverage options near the park, so when you visit the lake, make sure to carry enough of snacks, water, medicines and other necessities. Also, the park doesn’t restrict self-cooking. So, if you prefer rustling up something under the open sky, you can opt for that too. Boating in the lake at the park would cost around ₹70/person.
