A Reddit user says their gaming PC was destroyed by a stray bullet after a neighbour’s dog allegedly discharged a firearm in an incident that left no one injured.
The user, who posts under the name “angelbabyzz,” described the event in a post on Reddit. According to the account, the incident occurred somewhere in the United States.
The user said they were asleep when a loud bang and shattered glass woke them up.
Bullet hit gaming PC
According to the Reddit post, the bullet passed through a neighbouring wall and struck the gaming computer.
Police reportedly told the user that the impact with the PC altered the bullet’s trajectory away from the bed.
The neighbour then entered the room to check on the victim and apologized for the incident, the user said.
According to the account, the neighbour explained that her dog had accidentally discharged the gun.
Exactly how the firearm went off remains unclear.
No injuries reported
The Reddit user said they believe the shooting was accidental.
No injuries were reported, and the neighbour reportedly said she would cover the cost of any damage if insurance did not.
PC suffered heavy damage
Photos shared online show extensive damage to the computer.
According to the user, the bullet entered from the rear of the case and passed through several components.
Among the damaged parts were:
- The motherboard
- Trident Z RGB memory modules
- The tempered glass side panel
Debris from the impact was scattered throughout the system, potentially damaging additional hardware.
Despite the destruction of the computer, the owner escaped unharmed.
