How the New “Lock PC” Feature Works
Once your phone and PC are connected via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, a “Lock PC” button will appear in the Link to Windows app on your phone.
- Tapping this button instantly locks your computer, which is perfect if you’ve walked away and forgot to lock it manually
- This can prevent unauthorized access, especially in shared or public spaces
- It’s ideal for Galaxy Book users, but works with any Windows PC paired with your Android device
A Part of Microsoft’s Growing Android Integration
Link to Windows is pre-installed on Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets, offering a wide range of cross-device features:
- Screen mirroring: View and interact with your phone’s display on your PC
- File transfer: Instantly send and receive files
- Clipboard sharing: Copy content from your PC and paste it on your phone (or vice versa)
- Notification sync and message replies from your PC
