PM-Kisan 20th Installment Expected by June-End: Complete e-KYC Now to Get ₹2,000 Aid
What is PM-Kisan?
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme, launched by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, provides ₹6,000 annually to eligible farmers. The amount is disbursed in three instalments of ₹2,000 every four months, offering vital financial support to small and marginal farmers.
When Is the 20th Installment Expected?
The 19th instalment was paid out in February 2025, so based on the established cycle, the 20th instalment is expected to be released by the end of June 2025. Timely completion of e-KYC is mandatory to receive this benefit.
Why is e-KYC Mandatory?
The government has made e-KYC compulsory to:
- Eliminate fake beneficiaries and middlemen
- Ensure direct benefit transfer (DBT) into Aadhaar-linked bank accounts
- Enhance transparency and accountability in fund distribution
Available e-KYC Methods for PM-Kisan
Beneficiaries can choose from four approved methods to complete e-KYC:
- OTP-based e-KYC (via PM-Kisan portal or mobile app)
- Biometric-based e-KYC (at CSCs or State Seva Kendras)
- Face authentication-based e-KYC (via PM-Kisan mobile app)
- Aadhaar-linked mobile authentication (for OTP receipt)

Final Reminder: Act Before June-End
With the 20th PM-Kisan instalment approaching, farmers must ensure their e-KYC is complete. Delays could lead to missing out on the ₹2,000 payout. Beneficiaries should also regularly check their status on the PM-Kisan portal to stay updated.
