All people above 18 years of age can now get booster doses of corona vaccine in private hospitals from today.

Adar Poonawalla, CEO of Pune-based Serum Institute of India (SII), tweeted, “We are pleased to announce that after discussion with the Central Government, SII has decided to revise the price of COVISHIELD vaccine for private hospitals from Rs 600 to Rs 225 per dose. We once again commend this decision from the Centre to open precautionary dose to all 18+.”

To strengthen the fight against Coronavirus in the country, now people above 18 years of age will also be given a booster dose. This campaign of applying booster dose will start from this today i.e. April 10.
Only those who have got the second dose will get the vaccine
People who are above 18 years of age and it has been nine months since the second dose of corona vaccine was administered, they will be able to get the booster dose. Approximately 96% of the 15+ age group have received at least one Corona vaccine while about 83 percent have received both doses. The vaccination of children of 12-14 years is going on in the country from March 6.
