Marriott Is Providing Over 15,000 Free Meals To India’s Frontline Workers Across 6 Cities

From home cooks, restaurants to NGOs, everyone has united to provide free or reasonably priced nutritious meals to COVID-19 positive patients in isolation. But what about our frontline workers, who have been selflessly toiling round the clock throughout the ongoing pandemic? A freshly prepared meal would certainly provide them relief and a sliver of joy amid these dark times. Hearing their pleas, Marriott International through their delivery programme Marriott Bonvoy on Wheels will now be delivering over 15,000 vegetarian meals across 23 Covid centres and hospitals in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, Goa and Kolkata. Medical staff and assistants on duty can savour a plate of wholesome food before they resume their selfless services.

Marriott Is Feeding Frontline Workers Across 6 Cities In India
Marriott International which has around 125 hotels across India has launched a delivery platform called Marriott Bonvoy on Wheels (MBOW). This initiative has been taken to truly make a difference in the lives of frontline workers across hospitals in India. Marriott shall provide healthy, wholesome meals to medical staff and assistants on duty in Covid care centres and hospitals spread across six cities-Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, Goa and Pune. Selected hotels in these cities have partnered with different Covid centres to distribute meals from May 31 to June 6. With a total of 8 hotels participating, over 15,000 vegetarian meals will reach 23 hospitals and Covid centres in the country.

Compact Veg Meals Include Rotis, Dal, Sabzis, Rice, Salad, Pickle & Sweet
The meals will be cooked at hotels including Westin and St. Regis in Mumbai, The Ritz-Carlton in Bengaluru, Marriott and Westin in Goa, JW Marriott in New Delhi, Westin in Pune and JW Marriott in Kolkata. The vegetarian meals include two rotis, a portion of dal and rice and two sabzis. A serving of pickle, salad and sweet may also be provided depending on the location. Some of the dishes on the menu include aloo gobi adraki sabzi, soya keema mattar, lahsooni makkai palak and fried onion pulao. The covid warriors can end their meal on a sweet note with desserts like sheera and brownies. The ready-to-eat veg meals will be available in hospitals and Covid care centres across the six destinations for either lunch dinner or both.
