Bose Launches SoundLink Plus and SoundLink Micro 2nd Gen Speakers
Rugged Design, 20-Hour Battery, and aptX Adaptive Audio for Portable Excellence

Bose has officially introduced the SoundLink Plus Portable Speaker and the second-generation SoundLink Micro, enhancing its Bluetooth speaker portfolio with durability, portability, and advanced audio features.

  • Both models support Bluetooth 5.4, multipoint pairing, and aptX Adaptive for low-latency, high-quality sound.

The SoundLink Plus features an all-new acoustic design including one subwoofer, one tweeter, and four passive radiators to deliver rich, room-filling audio.

  • Weighing under four pounds, its dimensions are 9.1″ x 3.9″ x 3.4″, making it compact yet powerful.
  • With an IP67 rating, it is waterproof, dustproof, rustproof, and shock-resistant, and can float on water.
  • The battery offers up to 20 hours of playtime and supports USB-C charging, which can also be used to power other devices.
  • A rugged nylon rope enhances portability for outdoor and travel use.

The updated SoundLink Micro continues to impress with strong audio in a small footprint, measuring just 4.06″ x 4.06″ x 1.54″.

  • It uses a single driver and two passive radiators to punch above its size class.
  • The battery delivers up to 12 hours of playback, and it comes with a removable fabric strap for easy attachment to bags or bikes.
  • Like its larger sibling, it carries an IP67 rating, ensuring it stands up to outdoor elements.

Smart Connectivity and App Features

Both speakers offer seamless connectivity with:

  • Google Fast Pair for quick Android pairing.
  • Multipoint pairing to connect two devices simultaneously.
  • Support for SBC, AAC, and aptX Adaptive codecs, enhancing audio performance across platforms.

The Bose Music app allows users to customize EQ settings, assign shortcut buttons like Spotify Tap, and manage updates.

  • Bose SimpleSync enables integration with Bose soundbars and smart speakers.
  • Party Mode and Stereo Mode are available for paired audio experiences using two SoundLink speakers.

Pricing and Availability

The SoundLink Plus is available for preorder at $269, offered in Black, Blue Dusk, and a limited-edition Citrus Yellow.
