Samsung’s One UI 8 Watch, the latest version of its smartwatch software, debuted with the Galaxy Watch 8 series in summer 2025. Since then, Samsung promised that more models would receive the update, but the rollout has been slower—and more staggered—than expected.

As 2025 draws to a close, here’s a snapshot of the rollout progress so far.

✅ Galaxy Watches That Have Received One UI 8 Watch (Stable Version)

1. Galaxy Watch Ultra (2024)
   • 📅 Updated in July 2025
   • The first smartwatch to receive the stable One UI 8 Watch update.
2. Galaxy Watch 7
   • 📅 Updated in October 2025
   • Despite being a 2024 release, it received the update months after the Ultra.
3. Galaxy Watch 6 & Watch 6 Classic
   • 📅 Updated on November 19, 2025
   • The update followed shortly after the beta program ended, signaling some acceleration in Samsung’s rollout schedule.

⏳ Galaxy Watches Still Waiting for One UI 8 Watch

• Galaxy Watch 5 Series
  • 🧪 Currently in beta testing.
  • Beta began in early November, so stable rollout could be coming in the next few weeks, though nothing is confirmed yet.
• Galaxy Watch 4 / Watch 4 Classic
  • ❌ No stable update or beta program yet.
• Galaxy Watch FE
  • ❌ Still waiting for any update or beta access.

Will Samsung Finish the Rollout by End of 2025?

That’s unclear. While the Galaxy Watch 6 beta concluded and turned into a stable update within two months, there’s no guarantee Samsung can meet the same timeline for Watch 5 and older models.

How to Check for the Update on Your Watch

To see if your Galaxy Watch has received One UI 8 Watch:

1. Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone.
2. Navigate to Watch settings > Watch software update > Download and install.

Make sure your watch is connected and charged before installing any update.

Samsung’s One UI 8 Watch is now available for the Galaxy Watch Ultra, Watch 7, and Watch 6 series. The Watch 5 is still in beta testing, while Watch 4 models and the Watch FE have not received the update yet. With the year ending soon, it’s unclear if the full rollout will be completed by December.
