The Frame Gets Smarter (But Not Sharper) in Samsung’s 2026 TV Update

More sizes, smarter features, and wireless tricks arrive—but fans hoping for OLED or QD-OLED panels may walk away disappointed.

The Frame Grows in 2026—Just Not in Specs

At CES 2026, Samsung quietly expanded its The Frame and The Frame Pro TV series—but stopped short of any significant hardware upgrades.

  • No new display panel tech: The Frame still uses standard QLED with LED backlighting, while The Frame Pro continues with Neo QLED (Mini LED).
  • Both TVs retain 4K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, VRR, and Glare Free coating, along with HDR10+ Advanced and Dolby Atmos support.

For some, that may feel like a letdown. But Samsung is betting on design, flexibility, and smarter software to keep The Frame lineup compelling in 2026.

More Sizes, More Flexibility

This year’s biggest upgrade is range—not resolution.

📺 The Frame (LS03H) now comes in:
43″, 50″, 55″, 65″, 75″, 85″, and 98″

📺 The Frame Pro (LS03HW) now adds a 55″ option to last year’s:
65″, 75″, and 85″

  • The 98-inch Frame includes its customizable bezel in the box—a nod to its premium price point.
  • Only the 43″ and 50″ versions include Samsung’s One Connect Box. All other sizes have built-in ports and no support for the box.

Meanwhile, The Frame Pro now supports Samsung’s Wireless One Connect Box with Wi-Fi 7 and high-compression codec—strong enough to work even through walls.

“The Frame remains the only TV that doubles as an art piece—and now, it comes in nearly every living room size,” said a Samsung spokesperson at CES.

Smart Art Meets Smart Living

While the panels haven’t changed, smart features continue to evolve:

  • Both TVs run Tizen OS 10 with One UI, backed by up to 7 years of software updates.
  • Art Mode and Art Store still anchor the experience, letting users display curated 4K art pieces on the wall.
  • Magnetic bezels allow for style swaps, and the No Gap Wall Mount ensures gallery-like flush mounting.

This year’s highlight? Samsung Vision AI Companion—a smart assistant that:

  • Understands on-screen content
  • Offers personalized recommendations
  • Can suggest meals, music, and videos
  • Answers contextual questions like a visual Siri

Same Picture, Smarter Package

Despite the lack of panel improvements (no QD-OLED, OLED, or Mini LED in base Frame models), Samsung is doubling down on The Frame’s identity: a lifestyle TV that fits your space as much as it fits your content.

And for buyers who care more about design, ambient mode, and software intelligence than bleeding-edge contrast ratios, that may be enough.

“The Frame has always been more about aesthetic than specs—and that vision stays intact in 2026,” said one AV analyst.

TL;DR:
Samsung’s 2026 The Frame and Frame Pro TVs bring new sizes, smarter software, and upgraded wireless features—but no panel changes. The Frame sticks with QLED, while Frame Pro uses Neo QLED. Key upgrades include Wi-Fi 7 wireless boxes, Vision AI, and Tizen OS 10 with 7 years of updates.
