Following the start of pre-orders for Borderlands 4, Gearbox Software has revealed the minimum and recommended PC system requirements, which are relatively moderate given the game’s scale and the use of Unreal Engine 5.
Minimum Requirements:
- OS: Windows 10/11 (64-bit)
- CPU: Intel Core i7-9700 / AMD Ryzen 7 2700X (8 cores required)
- RAM: 16 GB
- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 2070 / AMD RX 5700 XT (8 GB VRAM required)
- Storage: 100 GB SSD required
Recommended Requirements:
- OS: Windows 10/11 (64-bit)
- CPU: Intel Core i7-12700 / AMD Ryzen 7 5800X (8+ cores)
- RAM: 32 GB
- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3080 / AMD RX 6800 XT (12+ GB VRAM)
- Storage: 100 GB SSD required

Borderlands 4 introduces a seamless open-world map, the largest in franchise history, where every visible landmark is reachable. This world design is complemented by:
