A deadline has been extended for completing the eKYC for Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the government’s flagship scheme. eKYC is MANDATORY for PM KISAN Registered Farmers. OTP Based eKYC is available on PM KISAN Portal or at the nearest CSC centres.
The beneficiaries of this scheme may contact the CSC centres for Biometric based eKYC. Under the PM Kisan scheme, the government gives Rs 6000 on an annual basis in three equal installments of Rs 2000. The money is transferred into the accounts of the farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer or DBT.
The period for disbursal is between April and July; August and November and December and March.
The announcement for the 12 installment of PM Kisan scheme will likely be done in September.
PM Kisan is a Central Sector scheme with 100% funding from Government of India. It has become operational from 1 December 2018.
Under the scheme an income support of 6,000/- per year in three equal installments will be provided to all land holding farmer families. Definition of family for the scheme is husband, wife and minor children.
State Government and UT administration will identify the farmer families which are eligible for support as per scheme guidelines.
The fund will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. There are various exclusion categories as well for the scheme.
One can complete his eKYC by folling these steps:
1) Visit at the official portal of PM Kisan – pmkisan.gov.in.
2) After landing on the home page, click on Pmkisan.gov.in E KYC Button.
3) Further, enter your Registered Mobile Number and click on Login.
4) After that enter the OTP Received and further enter your Aadhar Card Number.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi disbursed the 11th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme in May, this year. An amount of Rs 2000 was transferred in the accounts of 10,92,23,183 beneficiaries according to the PM Kisan website.
