PM Kisan 2025: Aadhaar, Bank, Land Record Updates Needed for Next Installment

PM Kisan Beneficiaries Alert: Complete These 6 Mandatory Updates or Risk Missing the 20th Installment

Government issues repeated warnings—failure to update eKYC, bank details, or land records may result in removal from the PM Kisan list

₹2000 installment expected on July 18, but many farmers may be left out

The 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) scheme is expected to be released on July 18, 2025. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to announce the transfer during a public rally in Motihari, Bihar, in view of the upcoming state elections. Over 9.8 crore farmers across India may receive ₹2000 directly into their bank accounts under the scheme.

However, the government has issued an urgent alert: farmers who fail to complete certain key updates may find their names removed from the beneficiary list, leading to a delay or rejection of the installment.

These 6 tasks must be completed immediately to receive the 20th installment:

1. Complete your e-KYC (Electronic Know Your Customer)

  • The government has made e-KYC mandatory for all PM Kisan beneficiaries.
  • If your e-KYC is incomplete, your installment will be withheld.
  • You can complete e-KYC online via pmkisan.gov.in using OTP or visit your nearest CSC center for biometric verification.
  • The ₹2000 is transferred through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), which requires your Aadhaar to be linked to your bank account.
  • Without Aadhaar linkage, payments may fail even if you are eligible.
  • Visit your bank to ensure this linkage is updated.

3. Verify your bank account details

  • Incorrect account numbers, IFSC codes, or name mismatches can prevent the transaction from being completed.
  • Ensure your bank details are accurate and active to avoid payment issues.

4. Update land ownership records

  • Incomplete or disputed land documents may result in disqualification.
  • Farmers should visit their state’s land records portal or CSC center to update land ownership information.
  • Only verified landowners are eligible under the PM Kisan scheme.

5. Check your beneficiary status online

  • Many farmers assume they are still on the list, but may have been removed due to incomplete updates.
  • Visit the official portal and use your registration number or mobile number to check your Beneficiary Status.
  • If your name is missing, the installment will not be credited.

6. Keep your registered mobile number updated

  • Your mobile number is essential for receiving OTPs, alerts, and payment confirmations.
  • If your old number is inactive or incorrect, update it at your bank branch or CSC center.

Why these updates are critical

Failure to complete any of the above tasks could result in your name being removed from the PM Kisan list, and you may miss the ₹2000 installment. The government has issued multiple warnings urging farmers to act quickly before the installment release date.

With the 20th installment likely to be disbursed on July 18, it’s crucial that all eligible farmers review their application details, complete the necessary updates, and ensure their accounts are ready to receive the funds.
