About Karnataka Raita Vidya Nidhi Scholarship 2022

The Government of Karnataka launched the Raita Vidya Nidhi Scholarship 2021-22 on 7th August 2021 in order to provide scholarships to the children of farmers. Through this scheme scholarships amounting to Rs 2500 to Rs, 11000 will be provided to the children of farmers who are pursuing higher education. The amount of scholarship will be transferred directly into the bank account of the beneficiary through the direct benefit transfer method. This scheme ensures that each and every student of Karnataka will get higher education.

In order to get the benefit of this scheme students are required to register on the portal. This scholarship will also encourage the children of the farmers to pursue higher education. Children of farmers will also be able to get the benefit from the scheme even if they are already getting the benefit of any other scholarship scheme.

Scholarship Amount To Increase Under The Scheme

The Chief Minister of Karnataka Basavaraj Bommai is planning to increase the scholarship amount under the raita Vidya Nidhi scholarship scheme. The announcement to increase the scholarship amount was made on 1 June 2022 while having interaction with the project beneficiary at alva college in Moodbidri. He has also highlighted the fact that the scheme has reached its intended audience. A lot of students have benefited from this scheme. This scheme has been introduced by the government for the children of weavers and fishermen.

With the implementation of this scheme literacy will be boosted and unemployment will be reduced. The government has also decided to extend this scheme for another year. The beneficiary will also get hostel facilities under this scheme in order to prevent any disturbance in the higher education of students. The hostel facility will be provided by the social welfare department. The Government of Karnataka have launched this scheme in on 7th August 2021 in order to grant scholarship to the children of farmers of the state

Extension Of Raita Vidya Nidhi Scholarship Scheme

The Chief Minister of Karnataka Basavaraj Bommai has announced the extension of the Raita Vidya Nidhi Scholarship Scheme on 11th April 2022. This decision has been taken in order to increase the literacy rate and reduce the unemployment rate in the state. Now the beneficiary will be able to take benefit of this scheme in the year 2022-23. This announcement was made during a program at Uchila Mahalaxmi temple in the Udupi district. Under the scheme, hostel facilities will also be provided to the students who belong to fisherman families in order to avoid any disruption in higher education to the students of weaker sections.

This facility will be provided by the department of social welfare. Through this scheme scholarships ranging from Rs 2000 to Rs 11000 will be provided to the students for higher education. The amount of scholarship will be directly transferred into the bank account of the beneficiaries.
