Tag Heuer Introduces A New Feature, NFT Display On Watches

Tag Heuer has launched a new feature, typically a smartwatch feature that shall let these watches display the NFT collection owned by Tag Heuer users. The Swiss watchmaker has expanded into Web3 with the introduction of this brand new feature. The NFT will be visible on the face of the smartwatch itself.

The company recently introduced accepting cryptocurrency payments on the US website. Now this brand new feature, new functionality will be added to Tag Heuer Connected Calibre E4 smartwatch collection.

The current users of this watch collection will be able to add this support for the feature with a free update through Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store, according to the reports.

According to the announcement made by the company this series or collection of smartwatch is much more than just a smartwatch as a proof of ownership is all that an user needs to be able to view the NFT and display their digital asset collection.

Tag Heuer And Its Expanding Crypto And Digital Ecosystem

Users will also be able to connect safely to crypto wallets such as MetaMask or Ledger Live with the new functionality. This collection of smartwatches will provide three ways to display the time while allowing to showcase the NFT artworks. These shall be operating with all the collection on Ethereum. The company’s blogpost read that,

Verified NFTs are displayed in a hexagon with a cloud of particles gravitating around the image. Some NFTs are still images, and some are animated GIFs. TAG Heuer’s watch face will support these formats in crisp detail, with animations looping infinitely

It also mentions,

TAG Heuer presents a new way to bring these valuable and highly collectible artworks into the real world. For the first time, they can be worn on your wrist with verified proof of ownership. The TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 allows you to display NFT artworks on your watch by connecting your crypto wallet to guarantee authenticity

Tag Heuer also claimed that through this move, it wants to expand digital ecosystem of the apps and watch faces as well. Tag Heuer’s in-house developers incorporated these features, including elements from the brand’s trademark and design signatures.

Transfer Of NFT Also Included In The Feature

According to the company, the latest update also contains additional features. Among the features of the watch is the ability to transfer multiple NFTs from their smartphones to it. In the next step, one can choose from three designs that can help them showcase their digital assets.

Alternatively, you can resize the images to help them fit on the smartwatch’s round screen. Tag Heuer had also gotten into a partnership with the community members of the ever increasingly famous NFT projects which include names such as Bored Ape Yacht Club and CLONE-X.
