- Reliance Industries saw its market cap contract by ₹44,048.20 crore to ₹20,22,901.67 crore, despite steady downstream earnings.
- Infosys fell ₹18,818.86 crore, landing at ₹6,62,564.94 crore, as investors awaited clearer margin guidance.

Bright Spots: HUL and Bajaj Finance Buck the Trend
- Hindustan Unilever jumped ₹42,363.13 crore to ₹5,92,120.49 crore, after naming Priya Nair its first woman CEO and MD—a landmark appointment.
- Bajaj Finance added ₹5,033.57 crore, reaching ₹5,80,010.68 crore, on the back of strong retail‐credit momentum.
“Leadership transitions and sector‐specific tailwinds provided rare relief amid a broader de-risking,” noted a market strategist, pointing to HUL’s board move and Bajaj Finance’s asset-quality resilience.
