Investec Sets Rs. 260 Target for Greenpanel, Sees 34% Upside

Greenpanel Industries Ltd. has received an “Accumulate” rating from brokerage firm Investec, which has set a target price of Rs. 260 per share.

The target implies a potential upside of 34.02 percent from the stock’s previous closing price of Rs. 194.

At the time of writing, the stock was trading at Rs. 195.50, up nearly 0.77 percent. The company had a market capitalization of Rs. 2,397.37 crore.

Investec positive on growth strategy

Investec said Greenpanel’s management is placing greater emphasis on volumes and market share.

The brokerage believes that approach can strengthen the company’s position over the long term. It expects margin expansion to remain under pressure in the near term.

Greenpanel’s valuation also looks attractive, according to Investec. The stock is trading at around 1.2 times market capitalization to replacement cost.

Profit growth, however, may take time. Investec expects improvement to be gradual.

It added that returns could be volatile. The brokerage said the investment case suits investors with a higher risk appetite and a longer time horizon.
