RCP Opens Bottling Plant in Guwahati to Boost Beverage Portfolio in Northeast India
Reliance Consumer Products (RCP), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries, has expanded its footprint in Northeast India with the launch of a new bottling plant in Guwahati, Assam. This move strengthens the presence of Campa’s beverage portfolio in the region.
- Collaboration with Jericho: The plant was developed in partnership with local partner Jericho, with the inauguration attended by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
- State-of-the-Art Technology: The facility includes advanced manufacturing technology, featuring two bottling lines: a 600 BPM (bottles per minute) line for carbonated soft drinks (CSD) and a 583 BPM water production line.
Massive Facility with High Production Capacity
Spanning over 6 lakh sq. ft, the new plant is one of the largest beverage manufacturing units in the region. It is equipped to handle substantial production volumes, supporting the growing demand in the area.
- Production Capacity: The plant has an initial capacity of over 10 crore litres for carbonated soft drinks and 18 crore litres for packaged drinking water.
- Local and Regional Supply: While focusing on Assam, Northeast India, and North Bengal, the plant is also equipped to serve additional markets based on demand.
Manufacturing Campa’s Beverage Portfolio
The Guwahati plant will manufacture a range of beverages under the Campa brand, including Campa Cola, Campa Orange, Campa Lemon, Power Up, and Independence and Sure Water brands.
