Meta Platforms Inc. has partnered with Reliance Industries Ltd. to build its first AI-enabled data centre in India, as the US technology company steps up investments in computing infrastructure amid intensifying global competition in artificial intelligence.
Under the agreement, Reliance will develop a 168-megawatt data centre in Jamnagar, Gujarat, with the project scheduled for completion within two years. The facility will also have scope for further expansion.
Reliance will provide end-to-end services for the project, including:
