RVNL Share Price Surges 14% After Securing Rs 554 Crore Order

Rise in Share Price: RVNL’s stock price soared by 13.6% on February 19, 2025, hitting an intraday high of Rs 354.25 per share on BSE.

  • The surge followed the company receiving a letter of acceptance from Rail Infrastructure Development Company (Karnataka).
  • By 12:16 PM, RVNL’s share price reached Rs 375.5, a rise of 12.73% compared to the previous session.
  • The market capitalization of RVNL stood at Rs 78,313.35 crore.
  • Over the past year, RVNL shares have appreciated by 25%, outperforming the Sensex‘s rise of 4.4%.

Contract Details: Under the new contract, RVNL will be responsible for constructing nine stations for the Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project (BSRP).

  • The project includes 1 elevated station and 8 at-grade stations across multiple locations like Heelalige, Singena Agrahara, and others.
  • It involves extensive works including civil, structural, and electrical & mechanical (E&M) works for the stations, along with architectural finishes and detailed design & engineering.
  • The total value of the contract is Rs 554 crore, and the project is expected to be completed in 24 months.

Recent Financial Results: RVNL’s Q3 performance revealed a 13% decline in consolidated net profit, dropping to Rs 311.58 crore from Rs 358.57 crore a year ago.

  • Revenue saw a 2.6% YoY decline, coming in at Rs 4,567.38 crore compared to Rs 4,689.33 crore in the same quarter last year.
  • EBITDA for the quarter stood at Rs 239 crore, down from Rs 249 crore in Q3 FY24, with a slight drop in the EBITDA margin to 5.2%.
