Siemens to Supply Propulsion Systems for 12 Pune Metro Trainsets

Siemens Ltd. has secured a new contract from Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd. for the Pune Metro Rail Project extension, strengthening its presence in India’s urban mobility sector.

Following the announcement, Siemens shares traded at Rs 3,649, up 1.31 percent, after opening at Rs 3,611 and touching an intraday high of Rs 3,669. Shares worth over Rs 41.55 crore changed hands during the session.

Scope of the contract

Under the agreement, Siemens will design, manufacture and supply propulsion systems and Train Control & Monitoring Systems (TCMS) for 12 metro trainsets.
