Got a Green Line on Your Galaxy Screen? Samsung’s Repair Program Is Still Active

Samsung Continues Free OLED Screen Replacements for Green Line Issue in India

Users Can Avail Repairs Until September 30, 2025 for Eligible Galaxy Devices

Samsung is extending its free screen replacement program in India to address the green or pink line display issue reported on several Galaxy S series smartphones. The company is offering free OLED replacements for affected devices, provided they meet certain conditions.

What’s Causing the Screen Lines?

The issue—typically a vertical green or pink line—has been observed on OLED screens in devices like:

  • Galaxy S20 series
  • Galaxy S21 and S21 FE
  • Galaxy S22 series
  • Galaxy S23 series

The glitch usually appears after a software update and is not caused by physical or liquid damage, according to Samsung.

Eligibility for Free Replacement

To qualify for a free OLED replacement:

  • Your Galaxy phone must be under three years old
  • It should be free of physical or water damage
  • You need to provide the original purchase receipt

Bring the device to an authorized Samsung service center for inspection.

Repair Costs and Deadlines

While the OLED panel is replaced at no charge, a small labor fee (approximately Rs 600 / $7) may apply at some service centers.

  • The program is valid until September 30, 2025, giving users ample time to claim repairs.

Important Notes for Users

  • The offer is limited to India and specific Galaxy models.
  • Newer models, like the Galaxy S24, are not currently covered under this program.
  • Users are encouraged to book a service appointment in advance to confirm eligibility and avoid surprises.

Samsung’s initiative mirrors similar steps taken by OnePlus, which has acknowledged the issue as an industry-wide OLED flaw and now offers a lifetime warranty for such screen defects.

If you’re dealing with a screen line issue, now’s the time to act—Samsung’s offer could save you from a costly screen replacement.
