Despite being Samsung’s latest mid-range offering, the Galaxy A56 5G won’t participate in the One UI 8 Beta—possibly heading straight to the stable release in September.
No Beta Love for the Galaxy A56—Yet
As Samsung expands its One UI 8 Beta Program, a noticeable omission has caught users off guard: the Galaxy A56 5G isn’t on the invite list. While several older and lower-tier Galaxy A-series models have made the cut, the A56—Samsung’s flagship mid-ranger for 2025—is missing from all Beta announcements.
Who Did Make the Beta Guest List?
Samsung has confirmed beta access will be rolling out between August 11 and September for the following devices:
Flagship Devices (Aug 11 Beta Launch):
- Galaxy S24 / S24+ / S24 Ultra
- Galaxy Z Fold 6
- Galaxy Z Flip 6
Confirmed for September Beta:
- Galaxy S23 / S23+ / S23 Ultra
- Galaxy Z Fold 5
- Galaxy Z Flip 5
- Galaxy Tab S10 series
- Galaxy A55
- Galaxy A54
- Galaxy A36
- Galaxy A35
Even older A-series devices are included—but not the A56.
Why Was the Galaxy A56 Skipped?
Samsung hasn’t offered an official explanation, but there are two likely scenarios:
- Direct Stable Update in September
Samsung may be planning to skip public beta testing for the A56 and roll out One UI 8 directly to this model alongside the Galaxy S25 series next month. - Delayed Beta or Market-Specific Rollout
It’s also possible the A56 could receive beta access later, potentially limited to specific markets or carrier variants.
Either way, it’s unusual to see a premium mid-range phone released earlier this year be excluded while its predecessors and siblings are included.
Galaxy A56 Users: What to Expect
Even without Beta access, Galaxy A56 owners are not being left behind. The device is eligible for One UI 8, and given its recent release and specs, it’s highly likely to be among the first mid-range phones to get the stable update.
Samsung has already confirmed that the official One UI 8 rollout begins in September, starting with the Galaxy S25, followed by a sequential rollout to other eligible models.

For those joining the Beta Program, Samsung has restricted access to:

- United States
- United Kingdom
- India
Notably, Poland and Germany—historically major Beta testing markets—are excluded this time around.
