June update goes live for Galaxy S25 users in the US
Samsung has begun rolling out the June 2025 security update for the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra in the United States, targeting users not participating in the One UI 8 Beta Program.
- The update is currently available for unlocked models, with carrier variants expected to follow shortly.
- Firmware versions include:
- S931U1UES4AYE3 for Galaxy S25
- S936U1UES4AYE3 for Galaxy S25 Plus
- S938U1UES4AYE3 for Galaxy S25 Ultra
Update details and improvements
The update package is approximately 550MB and brings a suite of critical security and performance enhancements.
- It includes 36 Google CVEs and 19 Samsung SVEs, addressing vulnerabilities in components like Screen Capture, Bluetooth, fingerprint sensors, Samsung Cloud, and Theme Manager.
- The update also optimizes system stability, ensuring seamless functionality and uninterrupted performance.
How to install the update
To manually check for and install the update:
- Go to Settings > Software Update > Download and install on your device.
Global rollout and One UI 8 Beta expansion
This update has already been released in other key regions including Europe, Korea, and India, as Samsung continues its phased approach.
- Meanwhile, Samsung is expanding the One UI 8 Beta Program, having launched Beta 2 for the Galaxy S25 series in the US, Korea, UK, and now Poland and India.
- The latest beta fixes issues from the previous version and offers early access to Android 16 features.
Other Galaxy devices, including the S24 series, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6, are also expected to join the One UI 8 Beta Program soon, as Samsung prepares for a global stable release later this summer.
