Toni Kroos Announces His Retirement From International Football.

During the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Germany’s Toni Kroos said it was clear to him “for a long time” that he would not be available for the World Cup in Qatar next year.

Following his team’s exit from the European Championship, Germany midfielder Toni Kroos announced his retirement from international football on Instagram.

In addition to his 17 goals and 19 assists, the 2014 World Cup winner earned 106 caps for his country.

It was clear to Kroos “for a long time” that he would not be available for the World Cup in Qatar next year.

His priority now is to focus on his club career with Real Madrid and to spend time with his family.
