Accenture said in a statement.

Accenture provides management and technology consulting services to clients, including e-commerce giant Alibaba, Cisco, and Alphabet Inc.’s Google, according to their 2020 annual report.

Ransomware

Ransomware is malware that threatens to expose or limit access to data or a computer system.

The ransom demand is frequently accompanied by a deadline. The data is lost permanently if the victim does not pay on time. In this case, the attacker used LockBit to attack the global consulting firm.
