Baybot offers ‘MotionAlert’ smart motion sensor at Rs 1,849

After its first product ‘OpenAlert’, Mumbai-based brand Baybot has announced its next product for homes and workspaces called ‘MotionAlert’, a wireless motion sensor built to detect movements accurately and push instant notifications to your smartphone.

The Baybot MotionAlert smart wireless motion sensor is available for Rs 1,849 on Baybot.in and Flipkart.com, with a 12-month warranty.

Baybot MotionAlert: How to use the device, detection range and features

Baybot’s MotionAlert is a Wi-Fi-enabled motion sensor that runs off just two AAA cells and connects to your home or office’s Wi-Fi network. A 2-way adhesive or wall-mounting accessory is included for mounting to the ceiling or wall. The MotionAlert can be paired with a cloud account and “instantly start receiving” alerts on their smartphones the moment activity is detected in the room or area, the company claims.

The MotionAlert device can be installed in any area where movement needs to be monitored or automated. The sensor is designed to alert you when it detects activity in the area where it is installed.

Baybot claims that the MotionAlert sensor can detect movement within a 5-meter radius. Ceilings and walls are the best places to install them, but avoid using them in corners. After they are installed, users can directly monitor their smartphone’s security. The smartphone will receive an alert when motion is detected.

MotionAlert can also be configured to work with smart devices at home or in the office. Door locks can be activated, room lights, stairway lights, spotlights can be turned on at the entrance or gate, a chime can be sounded when a customer enters the shop, etc. Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and IFTTT can also be used to integrate the device into smart environments.
