Metaverse Foundry is launched by Infosys

IT major Infosys has released Infosys metaverse foundry to ease and fast-track enterprises’ exploration of the metaverse, including virtual and augmented environments, for their customers, workplace, products and operations.

The foundry combines domain and design expertise, platforms and digital accelerators. Convergence can benefit enterprises by providing access to services, allowing them to scale up or down their explorations as they see fit.

The physical and virtual worlds are already seamlessly and ubiquitously interwoven. The metaverse will deepen this overlap in a very experiential manner that will provide an abundance of opportunities for business innovation.” said Ravi Kumar, President of Infosys.

It is imperative for clients to double down on those opportunities in a find-fast, learn-faster environment before they can reorient their own internal capabilities, processes, and cultures to respond to this rapidly evolving market.

Infosys metaverse foundry helps companies navigate the metaverse by partnering with them through the Discover-Create-Scale cycle.
In addition to its other uses, the foundry can be used as a makerspace to bridge all Infosys digital centres’ physical and digital worlds. Infosys also leveraged the XR platform to launch its own mixed reality capability to provide clients with highly immersive spaces for collaboration and co-creation.

Through the Infosys metaverse foundry, enterprises can seamlessly work with any of the creator-partners in the Infosys Innovation Ecosystem to manage the pilot-to-production ramp up.

The IT giant will expand its global corporate university to the metaverse with the help of its foundry. A hybrid library, heuristically evolved virtual classrooms, gamified learning, and digital twins will be used to better understand complex concepts.
