PS4 Gets 9 Free Games

Sony has released a new batch of nine PlayStation 4 games for free on the PS Store. The free games are part of Sony’s Play At Home initiative, which was originally kicked off earlier in March with a free copy of Ratchet & Clank.

Here are the 9 free games coming to Play At Home:

Abzu
Enter the Gungeon
Rez Infinite
Subnautica
The Witness
Astro Bot Rescue Mission
Moss
Thumper
Paper Beast

Of the 9 games, four support PlayStation VR: Paper Beast, Thumper, Moss, and Astro Bot Rescue Mission.

It is worth noting that all of the games being given out for free through the initiative right now are smaller-scaled indie games. However, all of these games have garnered critical praise, thanks to their innovative and oftentimes experimental approach to game design.

Along with these games, Sony has also announced that Horizon: Zero Dawn will be available for free from April 19 onwards.

Sony had originally kicked off the Play At Home Initiative as a way of thanking the community for its support over the last year during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Initiative is an extension of a similar Initiative from 2020 when Sony gave away Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Journey for free.
