The World’s First Hydrogen-Powered Flying Boat Will Be Launched In Dubai

The world’s first hydrogen-powered flying boat is another innovation Dubai is making with all its new technologies and advancements.

Jet ZeroEmission, the new invention set to be produced and launched in Dubai, is to be an eco-friendly vessel that makes no waves, no noise, and appears to ‘fly’ 80cm above the water at a speed of 35-40 knots.

Swiss start-up THE JET ZeroEmission has entered into an agreement with Zenith Marine Services and DWYN in the UAE to manufacture and operate the world’s first zero-emission boat.

According to L’Hydroptère, the futuristic-looking boat will feature cutting-edge characteristics and technologies and can accommodate up to 12 passengers at a time cruising at a speed of 40 knots without making a sound.

Environmentally friendly technology is equipped with fuel cells, an air conditioner, and other environmentally friendly technologies.

Alain Thébault, Founder of THE JET ZeroEmission, shared, “Dubai is the ideal destination for innovators and companies from around the world to develop their innovative projects and achieve their desired success, which is why we announced ‘The Jet,’ a project that I had the privilege of conceiving with the team.”

The new project is part of the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, which aims to produce 75 percent of Dubai’s energy needs from clean sources by 2050, making Dubai a global leader in green technology and clean energy.
