Emirates’ Chairman Optimistic About Removing UAE From UK’s ‘Red’ List

Commenting about UAE being on UK’s red list, Sheikh Ahmed said that Dubai will have to prove to the UK that the UAE is one of the top three in the world for vaccination. In addition, the country has rolled out over 12 million vaccinations already.

The Chief of the Dubai airline is optimistic that the UK will soon open borders for UAE residents. Earlier, Mansoor Abulhoul, the UAE Ambassador to the UK tweeted, “The UAE is one of the safest countries in the world in relation to Covid-19.” Abulhoul further stated that summer is a key reason for Emiratis and the hundreds of thousands of Britons living in the UAE to visit the UK. “I hope that trade and tourism will soon resume, as well as the opportunity for families and friends across our two nations to reunite”, he added.

He also added that the UAE has the second fastest vaccination rate and is combating the pandemic by restricting entry from high-risk countries.
