Deccan Express Travelers Can Now Enjoy Fantastic Views With Vistadome Coach
Deccan Express will resume its Pune to Mumbai journey on June 26 and bookings for the same have now opened, i.e., on June 24. A special “Vistadome” coach will be available to passengers traveling between the two cities on the Deccan Express Special.
Central Railways states that passengers with confirmed tickets will be allowed on the train. In addition, all the Covid-19 norms and standard operating procedures (SOPs) will be followed.
According to railroad officials, this will be the first time a Vistadome coach will be deployed on the Mumbai-Pune route. According to the officials, passengers will be able to enjoy views of rivers, valleys, and waterfalls on the Mumbai-Pune route.
Mumbai-Madgaon Vistadome coach travels by Jan Shatabdi Special train. The passengers will also be able to feast their eyes on scenic beauty while moving near Matheran hill (near Neral), Songir hill (near Palasdhari), Ulhas river (near Jambrung), Ulhas Valley, areas of Khandala, and Lonavala, and waterfalls, tunnels on the south-east ghat route.
Piyush Goyal, Minister of Railways, tweeted, “Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai via Vistadome: Experience the scenic beauty of the Western Ghats in the first Vistadome on this journey.”

Additionally, the Coach will feature features such as wide windows, a glass roof, rotatable seats, and pushback chairs.
From June 26, the Deccan Express special 01007 will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 07.00 hrs daily and arrive in Pune at 11.05 hrs the same day. The officials have also revealed that the 01008 Deccan Express special will depart from Pune at 15.15 hrs daily from June 26 and arrive at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 19.05 hrs the same day.
The halts of the train include Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Neral (for 01007 only), Lonavla, Talegaon, Khadki and Shivajinagar.
The train will also come with three AC Chair cars, 10 bogies of second-class seating and one second class-seating-cum guard’s brake van. For bookings, you can visit the website www.irctc.co.in and at all passenger reservation system (PRS) centres.
