Vaishno Devi is one of the most-visited pilgrimage pilgrim spots of India. The last couple of years saw even more traffic due to all the development and infrastructure. Vaishno Devi now has amazing eateries and good stay facilities that make a devotee’s journey comfortable. To add to its attractions, The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine committee is now planning to set up a mythological theme park in the town of Katra.

The Theme Park Will Offer Indoor & Outdoor Entertainment Activities
The committee has identified three locations for the mythological theme park – two near the shrine and one 10km from the Katra bus stop. The park will be well-connected and offer outdoor and indoor art and entertainment, shops, sports activities, games, rides, quality food options, and more. Devotees Must Register Online To Visit Vaishno Devi
But as the country reeled under COVID-19 fears, the pilgrim place stayed shut for months and only opened its doors to devotees in August 2020. Will restrictions stay in place at Vaishno Devi, you must register online to visit. Although Vaishno Devi yatra is a round-the-year event, it has taken a hit due to the pandemic. The Mata Vaishno Devi shrine had also announced an online application where devotees could access live darshan. What’s more, the app also enables home delivery of the puja prasad through Speed Post.

The cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi is nestled in Jammu and Kashmir’s Trikuta hills. Located at a height of about 5200 feet, it is regarded as one of the holiest Hindu temples in India. Every year, the shrine receives millions of devotees from all across India and abroad. The devotees need to trek for roughly 12km from the Katra base camp to reach the holy cave of the three-peaked mountain, where Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji is believed to reside. Vaishno Devi is also known as Trikuta, Mata Rani, Jyotawali or Sherawali.
