Mehrauli Archaeological Park
Maharauli Archaeological Park is a veritable treasure trove of heritage. When you enter this place, your senses are likely to be calmed by its history, beautiful structures, intricate architecture and lush, green landscapes. It is the perfect spot to ruminate and regain your inner peace.

The Lotus Temple is an ultimate symbol of breaking free of bonds of marriage and exudes a sense of purity and tranquility as soon as you enter! The main attraction of this nonviolence spot is a 14-foot statue of Lord Mahavira in Padmasana (the Lotus position), which is located on the top of a small hill and literally means ‘Nonviolence Spot’. You would only want to stretch your legs, meditate, or admire the shades of nature here.

Garden Of Five Senses
Spend some time in the city itself, at a place that will delight your five senses. The garden is one of the largest in Delhi, covering 20 acres of Aravalli outcrops that have been painstakingly tended. It boasts meandering walkways, lotsus pools, and miniature ponds tucked away in cosy corners, as well as several seating areas. All this combines for a pleasurable experience with ample shade and wonderful views!

JNU’s best-kept secret, this place is a must-visit and offers picturesque views of the city. It’s one of the best spots for just absorbing the beauty of the surroundings. To enter this place, however, you need a student ID or to be accompanied by a student. This place is well worth a visit if you can make it there!

The lush and sprawling forest of Sanjay Van covers about 10 square kilometers. South Delhi adjoining JNU is one of the most densely wooded areas of the city, in addition to being very peaceful and dotted liberally with heritage sites. Bird watchers & nature enthusiasts will enjoy this haven in the city and it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for some quiet time!

This park covers 250 acres of land studded with lakes, gardens, and playgrounds. It is among the biggest parks in Delhi. The jogging tracks that connect all of these spots are spread throughout the area. An excellent example of landscape design, the park is truly a peaceful spot to unwind in the busy city!

Landscape architect Lt. M Shaheer designed this nursery-turned-garden with a 550-metre ornamental central vista that begins at the entrance zone of Humayun’s Tomb. An afternoon spent exploring this nursery is a great way to spend a winter afternoon! The Sunder Nursery is spread over 90 acres and houses 300 unique tree species.

Over about 800 acres, this is a vast expanse of green. Besides being the green lung of South Delhi, this area is also a popular fitness destination for its residents. Walking and jogging paths have been established throughout the forest.
