Multi-Device WhatsApp Support Spotted in the Desktop Beta Version!

WhatsApp desktop beta has now been spotted with multi-device support. WABetaInfo discovered the feature in the latest WhatsApp beta version for desktop, which has been developing for quite some time.

WABetaInfo, a popular website that regularly updates about new features on the instant messaging app, states that Multi-device enables you to use WhatsApp Web, WhatsApp Desktop, and Portal without an active Internet connection your mobile phone.

“WhatsApp for Desktop beta allows using WhatsApp without an Internet connection on your main phone. If you have already downloaded WhatsApp Desktop, WhatsApp will automatically convert your version to the beta build. This version is under development and, when multi-device is out, it will totally change your experience while using WhatsApp,” states the report.

The multi-device feature will allow users to enable their WhatsApp account on multiple devices without requiring an active Internet connection on their primary instrument for the uninitiated. Linked devices can work without an active Internet connection on the primary device, and users can link up to four devices to their WhatsApp account. WhatsApp currently does not allow users to use the same performance on different devices.

In other related news, WhatsApp is working on a large link preview for iOS to make it easier for users to check out the details of the links. Extensive preview links are currently under development and will be available for users in a future update.

With the latest beta version of the Android app, WhatsApp is working on the same feature and bringing high-quality previews of URLs. WhatsApp also tests a new feature where attached images or videos disappear after one viewing – very similar to Snaps on Snapchat.
