Nita Ambani Extends Philanthropy to Telangana Temple, Ensuring Sustainable Devotee Support

Nita Ambani Makes Big Philanthropic Move, Donates ₹1 Crore to Telangana’s Balkampet Yellamma Temple

Reliance Foundation Chairperson Extends Support for Temple Development and Welfare

Nita Ambani, wife of Asia’s richest man Mukesh Ambani, has once again demonstrated her commitment to philanthropy by donating ₹1 crore to the historic Balkampet Yellamma Temple in Telangana. The generous contribution reflects the Ambani family’s ongoing tradition of supporting religious, cultural, and social initiatives across India.

Ambani Family’s Temple Visit Inspired the Donation

According to temple authorities, Nita Ambani’s mother, Purnima Dalal, and sister, Mamata Dalal, visited the revered temple on April 23, where they participated in a special puja.

  • During the visit, they were briefed on the temple’s rich history and cultural significance by the executive officer, Krishna, who also requested support for temple development.
  • Following the visit, Nita Ambani decided to contribute ₹1 crore, which was officially credited to the temple’s bank account, as confirmed by temple officials.

Funds to Support Daily Welfare of Devotees

Mahender Goud, the in-charge executive officer of the temple, confirmed that the donated amount has been placed in a fixed deposit, with the interest generated being used to fund daily food distribution for devotees visiting the temple.
This approach ensures a sustainable source of welfare, benefiting visitors for years to come.

Temple Prepares for Grand Kalyana Mahotsavam

The donation comes at a significant time as the Balkampet Yellamma Temple gears up for the Ammavari Kalyana Mahotsavam and chariot festival, scheduled to begin on July 1.
Temple authorities have begun making extensive preparations, including:

  • Setting up giant LED screens for devotees to witness the grand celebrations.
  • Arranging water tankers for those distributing food during the event.
  • Implementing sanitation measures, with workers operating in three shifts to maintain cleanliness.
  • Installing CCTV cameras, high-mast lights, and providing photo ID cards for volunteers, along with special passes for donors and dignitaries.

The temple’s ongoing development and preparations reflect the combined efforts of community leaders and contributors like Nita Ambani, aimed at preserving tradition while enhancing facilities for devotees.
