Joshua D’souza the candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party for the Mapusa Constituency is receiving a positive and favourable response from voters during his campaign. He is winning the hearts of the voters during his door to door campaign who have been appreciating his honest approach of working for the city of Mapusa.
While speaking to the correspondent of Pudhari, Joshua said, “Mapusa was represented by my father Francis D’Souza since 2002. I am now carrying forward his political legacy since 2019. In the last twenty years, many important development works have done in Mapusa. Now in my short tenure thus far, the first phase of the New Bus stand becoming operational, to commencing the work of the New Tar bridge, the Waste segregation facility (MRF) at Cunchelim, the commencement of the underground power lines, as also the hotmixing of most roads in the city were a few notable development works.”
He further added that, “the Opposition had made baseless and vile statements that he had not done anything during the pandemic. On the contrary he in collaboration with the Councillors of the Mapusa Municipal Council provided health guidance to the citizens, sprayed disinfectant in the affected areas, and also distributed masks, sanitizers at various places in the city. We also provide free ambulance service and meals to Covid patients, and to families during Covid times, Joshua said.
