What the July 2025 Update Fixes

Samsung has released its July 2025 security update, rolling out the latest Android security patch to Galaxy devices.

  • This patch enhances device security and overall system performance, ensuring a smoother, safer Galaxy experience.
  • Key issues addressed:
    • Vulnerabilities in Samsung Knox Security
    • Bugs in the Galaxy Watch system interface
    • Security improvements for Samsung Account, Wi-Fi passwords, Bluetooth, and Emergency SOS
  • These fixes help guard your device against threats, bugs, and unauthorized access.

Samsung’s Updated Software Support Plan

Along with the new patch, Samsung has also updated its software support roadmap for July 2025.

  • This update determines which Galaxy devices get monthly, quarterly, or biannual security updates.
  • Some devices have been added, while a few older models have been removed or downgraded to a less frequent update schedule.

Key Changes:

  • Monthly updates: 38 Galaxy devices
  • Quarterly updates: 88 devices
  • Biannual updates: 13 devices (updated twice a year)
  • Devices removed from the update plan this month include Galaxy Tab S7 FE, Galaxy F52 5G, and Galaxy A22 5G—these will no longer receive regular security patches.
