Mhapsekars will decide, outside interference inconsequential

Mapusa : On the backdrop of Goa Assembly Elections following the rules laid down by the Election Commission, it is seen, that the candidates are campaigning for the elections from ‘Door to Door’. It could be seen clearly that, BJP candidate Joshua De Souza has taken the lead in the election campaign.

Joshua has been campaigning in the Khorlim area from yesterday. At this time, Joshua spoke to a News channel. He said, that Ward No. 16 has been standing firmly behind his father since 1999. Even today, we are getting good response in this area while campaigning. We have met the demand for roads in this area. We are also addressing some of the major and minor problems of the citizens from this area.

Speaking further, Joshua said, “As promised, We have started two of the three major projects, for the development. In our two and a half year tenure, we have completed a lot of work including electricity, water and road works. The issue of bus stand in Mapusa constituency is also being addressed.  We have initiated and will complete before the scheduled date the bridge over the Tar River, Hotmixing of roads, replacement of old water supply pipelines, underground electrification etc.

I am committed to the development of the constituency. I do what people want and dont need instructions from any third party. I am moving forward with a positive frame of mind and intent Joshua said. Asked about the growing interference of former Minister Michael Lobo, he said, “Let those who want to interfere in this constituency do it, the future of Mapusa will be decided by our Mhapsekars.”

Local councillor Viraj Phadke also attacked the opposition. He said, “Looking at the overall response we are getting, it is abundantly clear that, Joshua will win this election with a comfortable margin”. Joshua is getting a good response in the entire Mapusa constituency. The people from the constituency themselves are coming forward and supporting us”, he further claimed.
