Night Curfew From 6 PM To 6 AM And Other Strict Measures Announced In Pune

The covid-19 cases in Maharashtra are on the rise for the past few days. Pune is the worst affected district in all of India. It has recorded almost 9,000 cases in the last 24 hours. And to curb the alarming spike, stricter measures have been announced in Pune. Starting tomorrow, Pune will have a night curfew from 6 PM to 6 AM for at least one week. The night curfew, however, may be extended after reviewing the situation next week. Read on to know more about other measures.

Religious Places, Bars, Hotels, Shopping Malls And Movie Theatres To Shut For 7 Days
Besides imposing a strict night curfew, places of worship, hotels and bars, shopping malls, and movie theatres will all remain closed for the next seven days, Pune Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao said Friday afternoon. Home Deliveries of food, medicines and other essential services will be allowed during the night curfew period.

SSC And HSC Exams To Take Place As Scheduled Earlier
In terms of public transportations, the PMPL and PMC buses will not be operated for the next seven days. However, there’s no stop on the state transport buses and inter-district transports. They are allowed like usual. Furthermore, there are restrictions on entering Pune as of now.

Besides this, marriages with 50 people and funerals with 20 people are allowed. Other gatherings, irrespective of whether they are religious or political, are banned. For the education institutions, schools and colleges will remain shut till April 30, 2021. However, exams announced for Class 10 and 12 students will take place as scheduled earlier, with adherence to all precautions.
