Smarter UI Starts August 11: Samsung Expands One UI 8 Beta Program

The latest flagship and foldable phones will gain early access to One UI 8 in South Korea, the US, the UK, and India—bringing smarter features powered by Galaxy AI.

One UI 8 Beta Expands to More Users on August 11

Samsung is officially launching the One UI 8 Beta on August 11, 2025, for three of its newest premium phones:

  • Galaxy S24 series
  • Galaxy Z Flip 6
  • Galaxy Z Fold 6

These are Samsung’s top-tier flagship and foldable devices, and their inclusion marks the second phase in the company’s One UI 8 rollout strategy.

Beta Program Details: Who Can Join?

Samsung will make the One UI 8 Beta Program available in the following regions:

  • South Korea
  • United States
  • United Kingdom
  • India

Eligible users in these countries can join the Beta Program by enrolling through the Samsung Members app.

What Makes One UI 8 Exciting?

One UI 8 is Samsung’s most AI-powered update to date, introducing intelligent tools and suggestions that adapt to how you use your phone. It’s built on Android 16 and will come with:

  • Smarter Galaxy AI features that recognize patterns and tasks
  • Integration with Google Gemini, usable by voice or through gestures via Galaxy Buds3 / Buds3 Pro
  • UI refinements, better multitasking, and more personalization options
  • System-wide improvements to performance, security, and battery efficiency

What About Other Devices?

While the Galaxy S25 series will be the first to get the stable version of One UI 8 in September, Samsung plans a massive beta expansion that same month. Devices joining the beta program include:

  • Galaxy S23 / S23+ / S23 Ultra
  • Galaxy Z Fold 5 / Z Flip 5
  • Galaxy A36 5G / A55 5G / A35 5G / A54 5G

This structured rollout ensures wider feedback, especially across flagship and upper-mid-range models.

Should You Join the Beta?

If you’re a Galaxy S24, Z Flip 6, or Z Fold 6 owner and live in a supported region, this is your chance to:

  • Preview One UI 8 features early
  • Contribute feedback that could shape the stable version
  • Explore new AI functionalities before general availability

Do keep in mind that beta software can come with bugs or compatibility issues, so it’s best used by tech-savvy users or those comfortable with early builds.

Final Rollout Begins in September

Samsung reconfirmed that the stable One UI 8 rollout begins in September 2025, starting with the Galaxy S25 series. The update will then be released sequentially to eligible models, based on beta testing completion and regional readiness.
