The Ducati Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary is a special edition motorcycle. Motorcycles from the Italian manufacturer are priced at Rs. 21.30 lakhs (ex-showroom).
India has only a limited number of dealerships selling the bike. It comes in Ducati 996 R inspired livery, the bike on which Troy Bayliss won his first world championship (2001 Superbike World Championship).
A special motorcycle was dedicated to the Australian rider as a tribute to his career. In the history of motorcycle racing, Troy Bayliss is the only rider to win a MotoGP race and a World Superbike race in the same season (2006).
With a green and white livery, the bike is painted in the signature red color of Ducati. Notice the big 21 numbering, that’s Troy Bayliss’ race number. On the fuel tank you get Troy’s autograph.
The bike is powered by a 955cc Superquadro twin-cylinder engine producing 155 HP at 10,750 RPM and 104 Nm torque at 9000 RPM. It comes with three riding modes – Race, Sport and Street.
The special edition comes equipped with Ohlins components including the NX30 front fork and TTX36 rear shock absorber to improve the track performance. Compared to the standard version, this special edition is 3 kg lighter.
