The teaser video for the Royal Enfield 120 year edition reveals few details, but they are significant.

Royal Enfield has unveiled a teaser video of its new ‘120 Year Edition’ model which will be showcased at the EICMA show in Milan, set to begin tomorrow.
The story completes a full circle at EICMA 2021. The description for the teaser video reads: “It was November 1901 when the first Royal Enfield rolled its wheels and started a revolution. 120 years in the making.”
In the short teaser video, one can see a fuel tank being prepped for paint. Soon after, the tank that is painted in black is seen receiving stripes in gold colour.
A special design commemorates the brand’s 120-year legacy right behind the fuel cap and between the vertical stripes on the tank. It’s a beautiful way to celebrate the brand’s 120th anniversary.
Also, the special Royal Enfield emblem is grand and looks to have been painted in either gold or bronze. Further, the engine has been completely painted in black.
Speaking of the engine, Royal Enfield ‘120 Year Edition’ is based on the brand’s 650cc platform and it is likely that both the Interceptor and Continental GT 650 will be shown in the new avatar.
But, Enfield could have something up its sleeve and usher a surprise. The premium bike manufacturer could very well showcase the much anticipated Super Meteor in this form for all we know.
If the 120 Year Edition of Royal Enfield is indeed only based on the current 650 twins, then, aesthetics aside, they should be identical to the regular models.
This would require a 648cc parallel-twin motor capable of producing 47 HP and 52 Nm of peak torque. The motor engine will be paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
We cannot wait for the motorcycle to be revealed in full and by the look of things, it sure does seem to be a show-stopper.
