The Altroz EV, which costs Rs 11 lakh is the vehicle that will come by the end of the year if there are no more delays due to the COVID-19 virus and lockdown.
With the Nexon EV, the company became one of the first in the passenger EV market. With the rising popularity of electric vehicles, we expect Tata to release another one soon. The Altroz EV which costs Rs 11 lakh is the vehicle under consideration.
Tata Motors is ramping up and has now opened five superfast CCS2 EV charging stations across the country, in partnership with Tata Power. Three of the five charging stations that were built were inaugurated in Jaipur, with one each in Bhubaneshwar and Cuttack.

Exterior Design
The standard Altroz with Projector headlights, a new covered grille reflecting the EV character, and new alloys with blue contrasts are expected to be the main features.
And most interestingly the modish car’s signature Teal Blue colour is also one of the colours we’ll get to see.
The car is supposed to have similar features to the Altroz, which is fuelled by gasoline. Some of the comfort features include a floating touchscreen infotainment system, a semi-digital instrument cluster, a premium sound system, and connected car technology.
The vehicle will adhere to the same 5-star safety requirements as the regular Altroz. Some of the standard safety features will include ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, and dual airbags. The EV will also have regenerative braking, which will further extend its range.
Battery Specifications
The ALFA-Arc platform will underpin the premium hatchback EV. The platform was created especially for this electric vehicle. A 30.2kWh lithium-ion battery pack with an IP 67 rating can produce about 100bhp. Tata’s Ziptron EV technology will be used in the vehicle.
The Charging Time
On DC quick charging, the charging time from 0% to 80% is estimated to be close to an hour. On a maximum charge, the EV is supposed to travel approximately 300 kilometres.
The actual statistics, on the other hand, can differ. If the charging time to range ratio is kept sufficient, the Altroz would be a great option for city commutes as well as highway drives.
