Toyota will launch the Hilux in India on 20th January, and deliveries will begin in March.
To be offered in double-cab body style, the Hilux will be available in 5 colour options. The pickup truck will be equipped with LED headlights, plentiful chrome exterior trim and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the Hilux will feature leather upholstery, auto air-conditioning, an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, multiple airbags and other goodies.
The pickup truck will come with electronic differential locks, and The vehicle will be powered by a 2.8-litre diesel engine that should deliver the same power and torque output as it does in the Fortuner (204 PS and up to 500 Nm). The transmission options offer a 6-speed manual and an automatic, and they will send power to all four wheels.
Once the Toyota Hilux deliveries commence, customers will find that the car comes with a 3-year/1 lakh km warranty as standard, extending up to 5 years or 2.2 lakh km.
Expect the vehicle to cost in the region of Rs. 30 lakhs (ex-showroom) and rival the Isuzu V-Cross in the niche lifestyle pickup truck market.
