The well-known leaker and insider Jeff Grubb has revealed all Xbox exclusives planned for 2023! From 2021-2022, he obtained this information from an internal schedule. It was expected that all of these games would be released exclusively for Xbox in 2023. Which games from that list will still be released next year?
All Planned Xbox Exclusives In 2023
Xbox fans have been longing to know what releases will await them in the coming year. However, some argue that releasing all these games by 2023 is unrealistic, while others are even complaining about showing off games too early. To release so many AAA games in only one year seems pretty unrealistic for Microsoft. While we all understand the drill of impatiently waiting for a game release, isn’t anticipation the best part…
Anyway… enough of the talking. Here is a list of all the originally planned Xbox exclusives in 2023:
- Hellblade 2
- Perfect Dark
- Fable
- Contraband
- Avowed
- Everwild
- New games from InXile, Compulsion and Coalition
But don’t celebrate too early! This list only shows Microsoft’s original plan for 2023. That does not mean, that it still applies in the current situation.
Jeff Grubb expects Hellblade 2 and Contraband to come out within the second half of next year, but he is not sure about the other titles, since they seem like they could easily take another year or two. According to Grubb, with Starfield and Redfall coming out in 2023, Xbox needs to at least release two additional games from the list, to have an average of one game per quarter.
It looks like Everwild is going to be a very beautiful game. But sadly, both Grubb and VGC reported that the title had to be redone from scratch with a new creative director and will probably not be released in 2023.
