Post-release, Halo Infinite already gained glitzy fame, and now 343 Industries is preparing for the second season. Halo Infinite Season 2 will be titled ‘Lone Wolves’ and release on May 3, 2022. Joseph Staten, Halo Infinite’s head of creative, shared details about the upcoming season on Halo Waypoint.
“By “theme,” we mean a core concept that guides the creation of much of a Season’s content. A lone wolf Spartan is a hunter. Trackers. They are resourceful improvisers, operating deep inside enemy territory without resupply or support. They’re fierce, rough, and prefer to work alone, but they are still loyal to the Spartan pack,” Joseph said.
Halo Infinite will receive another Battle Pass, as well as two free Armor Cores. Additionally, Joseph shared concept art of two Lone Wolves, Spartan Sigrid Eklund and Spartan Hieu Dinh. In the new season, we can expect to learn more about these characters and Spartan Commander Laurette Agryna through “a mix of cinematics, story-themed events.” Like the current season, players will be able to try the new Spartan look. There is no doubt that the Fracture armor core will catch everyone’s attention.
“During Season 2, we will also be shipping playlist updates, balance changes, new modes, and maps, specifically, one Arena map named “Catalyst” and one BTB map named “Breaker.” The new modes include “Last Spartan Standing”, a free-for-all elimination mode, as well as another new mode named “Land Grab,” plus the return of an updated, all-time favorite mode, “King of the Hill,” he stated.
Players will also see an arena map – Catalyst – and a Big Team Battle map – Breaker. Among the new modes will be Last Spartan Standing, Land Grab, and an updated King of the Hill. Halo Infinite’s co-op campaign and Forge mode are also making progress, according to 343 Industries. Season 2 will include the former, though it will not be available at the beginning of the season due to the need for refinement. In April, more details will be revealed about Season 2.
