Germany has loosened travel restrictions, keeping an eye on summer travel. The German government now permits fully vaccinated travellers or those who have recovered from Covid-19 to skip compulsory testing and quarantine. Moreover, travellers who test negative for Covid-19 can also leave quarantine early. According to the Associated Press, the German lawmakers approved these changes in guidelines on May 12. But travellers from countries recording Covid variants and clusters, can’t avail of these benefits. The good news is that around one-third of Germany’s population has received at least one dose of the Covid vaccine. Around 10 per cent of the population has received two doses as per the government figures.
