In the 2022 Indian Scout Rogue line-up, there are two models
The latest addition to Indian Motorcycle’s Scout lineup, the 2022 Scout Rogue and Scout Rogue Sixty, have been unveiled recently.
In other words, what’s new about the 2022 Indian Scout Rogue models? Well, they feature a larger 19-inch front wheel (there is a 16-inch rim at the back), a quarter fairing, mini apehanger handlebars, and a new solo saddle.
As with other Scout models in the range, the engine, suspension and braking components have not changed. Only the blacked-out motor, exhaust and wheels have been changed.
Except for the engine and badges, the bikes look pretty much the same
If customers choose, they can add a pillion seat and a backrest from the accessories catalogue, which includes components like piggyback shocks.
Apart from the larger front wheel, all the defining components of the 2022 Indian Scout Rogue can be purchased as individual components and fitted to select recent Scouts.
In addition to the engine, the Scout Rogue and Rogue Sixty models are distinguished by their paint options, all of which are darker.
But are these cruisers suitable for Indian roads?
The Rogue, which weighs 247 kg (wet) comes powered by a 100 HP and 98 Nm, 1133cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine that is teamed to a 6-speed transmission. On the other hand, the Rogue Sixty (245 kg) has a 983cc liquid-cooled V-twin producing 78 HP and 88 Nm and mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
Both have a very low seat height of 649 mm, 1576 mm of wheelbase, and only 129 mm of road clearance. They also share the same brakes and tyres.
In the USA, the 2022 Indian Scout Rogue costs $11,499 (Rs. 8.6 lakhs), while the Rogue Sixty starts at $9,999 (Rs. 7.5 lakhs). When these models will arrive in India is unknown.
